The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem has two Foundations: a worldwide network of Priories and Ambulance Associations, and the St John Eye Hospital Group - based in Jerusalem but with satellite clinics operating through the Arab nations. The first St John Ambulance Association began in England in 1877 and the first St John Hospital in Jerusalem in over 700 years was established in 1882.
